One Clariant Campus [OCC] is the new benchmark for the future of office workspaces and innovation centers. This project consists of workspace and R&D facilities covering approximagely 30,000 square meters.
With the use of large monolithic surfaces using glass and sheetrock, achieving interior sound quality was a challenge. With close coordination with the Owner and design team, solutions were possible that made use of a variety of materials that achieved the design goals.
The project was designed towards LEED and WELL certifications. As part of the requirements, background noise, reverberation time and sound isolation were critical. Site inspections during construction were conducted and proved beneficial in making sure details were properly implemented. Our Shanghai Acoustics Consulting team worked closely with the contractor and provided guidance with installation of recommended partitions, MEP isolation and interior treatments. Once completed, acoustic tests and measurmeents were conducted by our Acoustics team to provide verification that goals have been achieved.
